You get $3 back in extra care dollars (CVS play money) for every 3 cards you buy. I just got back from CVS and purchased 9 Halmark cards out of the .99 section. I got $9 back in ECBs! So...9 cards free for me! I didn't find 15 that I liked so I'll probably buy the other 6 at a different CVS. Remember you must buy them in quantities of 3!
